The fastest way to reach Vuokatti from Helsinki area is by plane. Finnair flights operated by Norra from Helsinki to Kajaani take around 1 hour 20 min. The airport is situated 40 km away from Vuokatti, and there is a bus connection from the airport to the resort. Lahti is reached easiest by plane to Helsinki from where there will be bus transportation to Lahti (for Nordic Combined and Ski Jumping Teams)
The nearest train station is located in Kajaani. Daily several trains arrive from different destinations, and most of them conveniently correspond with the local bus timetables. Long-distance and city buses bring passengers straight to Vuokatti. Train is convenient way to travel also between Helsinki and Lahti and there are train connections also between Lahti and Vuokatti.
During winter season you can use Vuokatti SkiBus free of charge. The timetable is available in the Slope info brochure. Among the SkiBus destinations are e.g. Vuokatti Slopes, Katinkulta Spa, Superpark and Sotkamo city center.
